MY KUKU PAYS MY BILLS

I have seen how you all judge Slay Queen and call them names.

Firstly, whose body are they using to sleep around? And secondly whose account does the cash land in?.

Thirdly do you even know their background? Ever wonder why they do what they do?

I got an inbox from Slay Queens from Ekasi this week and decided to meet them and their stories broke my heart.

One 24-year-old told me she lived with her gogo, couldn’t get a job or further her studies.

It was the poverty at home which drove her to go sleep around in exchange of cash.

She told me she was an orphan and must look after her gogo and siblings.

It was her little brother who is only 11 who reduced her to tears one day when he asked her for school shoes because his were finished. The poor boy had to use glue to put the shoes back together.

She said a Slay Queen friend gave her money to get her brother shoes and buy groceries, then introduced her to the world of Slaying.

I get drunk so I don’t feel dirty, I give men what they want, and I get money to feed my loved ones, she told me.

Other two had similar background, poverty is a bitch guys, no one must face a hungry child with no cent in hand.

A 27-year-old Slay Queen told me she does it for her kid’s school fees and to pay rent.

She is a single mother of two and couldn’t get a job.

‘My kuku pays my bills. People can judge me all they want but I do it for my kids” she told me.

Having a cup of coffee with these Slay Queens was eye opener.

Lesson learn, don’t judge people if you have never walked in their shoes.
